Inflation in Belarus at 0.2% in July

MINSK, 10 August (BelTA) – In July 2020 the index of consumer prices for goods and services totaled 100.2% as against June 2020 and 103.6% as against December 2019, BelTA learned from the National Statistics Committee of Belarus.

In July the base index of consumer prices, which rules out changes in prices for individual goods and services susceptible to administrative and seasonal factors, totaled 100.3% as against June 2020 and 102.7% as against December 2019.

Prices for foods inched down by 0.1% from June 2020 and rose by 3.1% from December 2019.

Prices for non-foods went up by 0.3% from June 2020 and 3.3% from December 2019.

In July prices for services edged up by 0.5% from June 2020 and by 4.7% from December 2019.
