
MINSK, 29 April (BelTA) – Manufacturers of Belarus and Novosibirsk Oblast of Russia maintain a robust cooperation in the field of industrial cooperation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Industry Ministry of Belarus.
Industrial enterprises of Belarus and Novosibirsk Oblast have many industrial cooperation projects. "BelAZ get spare parts from Novosibirsk. Plans are in place to organize a joint assembly production of agricultural machines. There is also a partnership in the field of city passenger vehicles," the press service said.
"The level of cooperation is high. Enterprises are interested in further expanding cooperation, increasing the range of equipment," the Industry Ministry emphasized.
Mutual trade between Belarus and Novosibirsk Oblast of Russia surged by 42% last year and amounted to almost $500 million.
As it has been reported, a Belarusian government delegation headed by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko is paying a working visit to three Russian regions: Novosibirsk, Irkutsk and Sverdlovsk from 26 to 28 April. According to the prime minister, Belarus effectively cooperates with the Russian Federation both at the federal and regional levels.
