MINSK, 28 March (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia's Volgograd Oblast have good reserves for advancing cooperation in agribusiness. Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko made the statement as he met with Volgograd Oblast Governor Andrei Bocharov in Volgograd, BelTA has learned.
Roman Golovchenko said: “In 2022 our trade in food and agricultural raw materials nearly doubled. We export milk and dairy products to the region as well as fish and fish products, chocolate and import mainly animal feed. Interaction has been established. It is necessary to continue developing this field, particularly taking into account the fact that Volgograd Oblast agribusiness demonstrates high results. We have good reserves for advancing cooperation in agribusiness.”
The Belarusian side is ready to offer new machines and vehicles to Volgograd Oblast agricultural and processing enterprises, including loaders and land amelioration machines.
During the business trip to Volgograd Roman Golovchenko is also expected to visit Volga Pipe Plant and OOO Volma Corporation. Apart from that, a joint meeting of representatives of Belarusian industrial enterprises and the Council for the Development of Industry and Fuel and Energy Complex under the Volgograd Oblast Governor is expected to take place.
