Gomeltransneft Druzhba done repairing Mozyr-Brest 3 oil pipeline

GOMEL, 20 January (BelTA) – The Belarusian company OAO Gomeltransneft Druzhba has finished repairing sections of the long-range oil pipeline Mozyr-Brest 3, BelTA has learned.

The company initially intended to repair a number of defects concentrated in the 17th and 30th km of the oil pipeline. The company's specialists replaced two sections of the oil pipeline as a result.

Additional examination revealed two more dangerous defects in the 7th km and the 13th km of the oil pipeline. The defects were described as manufacturing ones – a crack in the transverse weld seam and external metal loss. The defects were fixed by placing sleeves over them.
