Gomel to welcome delegations from 18 countries on Business Days

GOMEL, 20 November (BelTA) – Delegations from 18 countries will take part in the Business Days in Gomel forum on 23 November, Director General of the Gomel Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Marina Filonova told the media on 20 November, BelTA has learned.

Among the participants of the forum will be representatives of Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Italy, Germany, and others. The Netherlands and Israel will take part in the forum for the first time. “The forum will be held for the fourth time. It always draws the interest from current and potential partners of Gomel Oblast,” Marina Filonova said.

Interregional cooperation will be also discussed by representatives of chambers of commerce and industry, business associations, businessmen of CIS and non-CIS countries, IT sector, and diplomatic missions.

According to Marina Filonova, the program of the current forum will include three sessions. The development of small and medium-sized businesses will be discussed at the section “Effective Business = Successful Region. Trends and Innovations”. Tools of interregional cooperation, international experience and mechanisms will be presented at the section “Perspectives of the Silk Road Economic Belt Project for Cities and Regions”. The block “Industry of Meetings - a Modern Tool to Promote the Image of Regions” will highlight the unity of economic events and event tourism, examples of efficient clusters. Experts will consider the impact of business tourism on the economic potential of a particular region.

This year the forum organizers will present the commemorative tokens “For the contribution to the development of international cooperation” to the most active partners during the opening ceremony of the event.

Business Days in Gomel is an effective dialogue platform to discuss topical issues of business development and promising investment areas, to establish direct business contacts, develop strategies for cooperation, to hold B2B talks and exchange best practices.

On 22-24 November the Gomel Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will hold the 15th national universal exhibition “Business in the Regions”. It will feature enterprises and organizations from the Belarusian regions and also from Kursk Oblast and Bryansk Oblast of Russia.
