MINSK, 21 October (BelTA) – As many as 168 Belarusian commercial entities with the status of authorized economic operators have gone through the re-registration procedure in line with the Customs Code of the Eurasian Economic Union and can now use an expanded package of facilitations across the entire Eurasian Economic Union, representatives of the State Customs Committee of Belarus told BelTA.
The time window for making the transition is limited: authorized economic operators, which use five preferences now, will have to prepare all the necessary documents by the end of the year. They will be able to get up to 16 facilitations in line with the Customs Code of the Eurasian Economic Union.
The status of an authorized economic operator grants certain advantages for doing business. Today Belarus has the largest network of authorized economic operators in the Eurasian Economic Union: 334 organizations.
Information about the procedure for becoming an authorized economic operator can be found on the website of the Belarusian customs service.
