
MINSK, 14 May (BelTA) – Foreign investors put $3 billion in the real economy of Belarus in January–March 2023, BelTA learned from the National Statistics Committee.
The main investors were entities of the Russian Federation (44.8% of all incoming investment), Cyprus (28.8%), Netherlands (3.8%) and Germany (3%). Foreign direct investment amounted to $2.6 billion, or 87.6% of all foreign investment.
In January-March 2023, the country's organizations transferred $1.9 billion worth of investment abroad. Significant investment was made in entities of the Russian Federation (92.2% of total), Cyprus (1.6%) and Ireland (1.3%). Direct investment accounted for 76.2% of all investment directed abroad.
