
MINSK, 7 April (BelTA) – In March 2023 Belarusians sold $62.1 million worth of foreign currency more than they purchased, BelTA learned from the statistics released by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).
In March 2023 individuals bought the equivalent of $790.7 million in cash and cashless forms and sold $852.8 million worth of foreign currency. In January-March, the net demand for foreign currency was $33.3 million.
Based on the data of the National Bank, economic entities of Belarus bought $232.8 million worth of currency more than they sold. Legal entities of Belarus bought $2.414 billion worth of foreign currency and sold $2.181 billion in March 2023.
In January-March 2023 legal entities' purchases exceeded sales by $501.6 million.
