
MINSK, 7 March (BelTA) – In February 2023 Belarusians sold $31.6 million worth of foreign currency more than they purchased, BelTA learned from the statistics released by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).
In February 2023 individuals bought the equivalent of $716.5 million in cash and cashless forms and sold $748.1 million worth of foreign currency. In January-February, the net demand for foreign currency was $28.8 million.
Based on the data of the National Bank, economic entities of Belarus bought $255 million worth of currency more than they sold. Legal entities of Belarus bought $2.09 billion worth of foreign currency and sold $1.835 billion in February 2023.
In January-February 2023 legal entities' purchases exceeded sales by $269 million.
