
MINSK, 7 June (BelTA) – In May 2023 Belarusians sold $142.6 million worth of foreign currency more than they purchased, BelTA learned from the statistics released by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).
In May 2023 individuals bought the equivalent of $750.2 million in cash and cashless forms and sold $892.8 million worth of foreign currency.
Based on the data of the National Bank, economic entities of Belarus bought $116.4 million worth of currency more than they sold. Legal entities of Belarus bought $2.212 billion worth of foreign currency and sold $2.096 billion in May 2023.
In January-May 2023 legal entities' purchases exceeded sales by $433.7 million.
