
MINSK, 5 May (BelTA) – In April 2023 Belarusians sold $107.4 million worth of foreign currency more than they purchased, BelTA learned from the statistics released by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).
In April 2023 individuals bought the equivalent of $703.3 million in cash and cashless forms and sold $810.7 million worth of foreign currency. In January-April, the net demand for foreign currency was $140.7 million.
Based on the data of the National Bank, economic entities of Belarus sold $184.3 million worth of currency more than they bought. Legal entities of Belarus bought $1.929 billion worth of foreign currency and sold over $2.113 billion in April 2023.
In January-April 2023 legal entities' purchases exceeded sales by $317.3 million.
