MINSK, 11 January (BelTA) – In 2020, Belarusians bought $1.97 billion worth of foreign currency more than they sold, BelTA learned from the statistics released by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).
In 2020, individuals bought the equivalent of $10,223.9 million in cash and cashless forms and sold $8,254.2 million worth of foreign currency. The net purchase of foreign currency by individuals totaled $1.97 billion.
In 2020, Belarusian corporations bought the equivalent of $23,139.2 million and sold $22,161.3 million worth of foreign currency. The net purchase amounted to $977.9 million.
In 2020, non-residents of Belarus bought the equivalent of $263.6 million worth of foreign currency and sold $860.3 million. The net purchase came at $596.7 million.
