MINSK, 14 December (BelTA) - Belarus will continue redirecting its export flows amid sanctions, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik said during his introduction to the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 14 December, BelTA has learned.

According to the minister, Belarus will continue redirecting the exports, which have fallen out of the Western market and the market of Ukraine, to alternative markets. “Close attention should be paid to the expenses cost by sanctions. They should not affect the work of our enterprises and our employees,” said Sergei Aleinik.

The minister of foreign affairs also spoke about the continuation of work with strategic, traditional and new partners and interaction at integration platforms. According to him, economic diplomacy will be aimed at increasing exports, expanding geographical diversification and assistance to Belarusian exporters.

“We will continue to actively counter political, economic and informational pressure, which continues to be exerted on our country,” the minister stressed. “We are focused on defending the interests of Belarus in multilateral arenas. We will intensify our work and will continue to promote significant international and regional initiatives to enhance the role and image of our country in the international arena,” he added.
