MINSK, 1 June (BelTA) - Belarus and Russia's Nizhny Novgorod Oblast are similar in ideology of development and basic goals, Belarusian First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov said during the working visit of the Belarusian delegation to Nizhny Novgorod, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.
“Nizhny Novgorod Oblast's development ideology fully corresponds to the development ideology of Belarus. The region sets basic goals, which are actually the foundation for the development of both the region and the country. The first one is jobs, the second one is transport, engineering and social infrastructure. This fully corresponds to what we have been doing for 30 years. We have the relevant competencies,” Nikolai Snopkov said.
According to the first deputy prime minister, thanks to this certain agreements were reached at the beginning of the year. “Today we have consolidated them. They include the launch of joint production of trams and electric buses, construction of social and engineering infrastructure. The most important thing is that we have found the model which helps us expand mutual relations – this is the organization of joint business,” he said.
