First unit of Belarusian nuclear power plant reconnected to power grid

MINSK, 9 November (BelTA) – The first unit of the Belarusian nuclear power plant has been reconnected to the power grid, the press service of the Belarusian Energy Ministry told BelTA.

The first unit of the Belarusian nuclear power plant was connected to the power grid at 12:33 on 9 November after scheduled maintenance and additional tests were finished. The unit is gradually increasing its output. It is now at 400MW.

The unit will have to operate at various output levels for the near future in accordance with the test program.
