GOMEL, 15 April (BelTA) – The first batch of equipment made by the Belarusian company OAO Seismotekhnika has been shipped to exploration seismologists in Russia's Republic of Bashkortostan, the press service of the Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft told BelTA.

The batch includes several sets of Vibroseis sources (sources of seismic signals) SV 30/150.

Specialists believe the equipment matches all the requirements of modern prospecting seismology. The equipment is powered by the Russian engine YaMZ-7511 while the wheel platform was made by Seismotekhnika. The self-propelled cross-country hydroficated chassis will allow performing field work in various geological and climatic conditions as well as transition areas.

The Gomel-based company will make a total of 20 sets of Vibroseis sources for the Russian company Bashneftegeofizika. The equipment is available in two modifications. Tracked chassis will be used in northern regions of Russia while the wheeled one will be used in southern parts.

AO Bashneftegeofizika is one of the largest Russian oil service enterprises specializing in performing various kinds of geophysical research in the area of development and exploitation of oil and gas fields. The company is represented virtually in all the oil and gas extracting regions of Russia.
