Financial Literacy Week kicks off in Belarus on 25 March

MINSK, 21 March (BelTA) - The Financial Literacy Week will kick off in Belarus on 25 March with the ringing of the bell at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE), BelTA learned from the BCSE.

On Monday 25 March, the BCSE will traditionally open its doors to welcome high school students. The symbolic bell ringing will mark the beginning of the week to raise the financial literacy level in Belarus. The BCSE will hold a class, organize contests and quizzes with prizes for the most active participants.

Global Money Week 2019 will be running till 31 March. This is is an annual financial awareness campaign built to inspire children and young people to learn about money matters, livelihoods and entrepreneurship.

Global Money Week was launched in 2012 as one of the initiatives of the newly established Child and Youth Finance International (CYFI). The number of countries and organizations which join the campaign increases year on year.

The BCSE noted that Belarus was one of the first Eastern European countries to support this important educational campaign and to join this dynamic international movement.
