Export of Belarus' medical services to exceed $41m in 2018

MINSK, 26 December (BelTA) – The export of medical services will exceed $41 million in 2018, Belarus' Healthcare Minister Valery Malashko has told the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA has learned.

“This year citizens of 138 states sought medical care at Belarusian healthcare facilities. Belarus will earn over $41 million on the export of medical services by the end of 2018. Belarus' medical education is also popular among foreigners. Four medical universities account for nearly a third of the export of educational services. Students from Israel and Germany come here to study, which attests to the prestige of medical education in Belarus,” Valery Malashko said.

The minister emphasized that over the past five years Belarus' healthcare system acquired a great number of true professionals. “These are not only doctors, but also chemists, biologists who work in hi-tech centers,” he noted.
