Excise duty rates on fuel up in Belarus

MINSK, 19 March (BelTA) - Excise duty rates on automobile fuel have been revised upward in Belarus. The decision is laid down by Decree No.102 of 15 March 2019 that was officially published on the national legal internet portal on 19 March, BelTA has learned.

The excise duty rate on the automobile fuel, not equivalent to Class 5, will make up Br475.08 per one tonne, that on the automobile fuel equivalent to Class 5 – Br292.59, and that on diesel fuel – Br227.05 and Br178.33 per one tonne respectively. The excise duty rate on natural compressed gas used as automobile fuel will be Br108.42 per 1,000 cubic meters.

The new excise duty rates will be valid through 31 December 2019.

The decree comes into effect after its official publication.
