Eurasian Economic Commission exploring new supply routes

MOSCOW, 6 April (BelTA) – The Eurasian Economic Commission is exploring new supply routes in view of the situation on the border with the European Union, official representative of the Eurasian Economic Commission Iya Malkina said at a briefing for the press on 6 April when asked whether the Eurasian Economic Union is looking for alternative export routes in the current situation, BelTA has learned.

“The commission on boosting the resilience of the economies of the EAEU states is working on it. In particular, there are plans to create a favorable regime for transporting goods to priority markets, to develop new supply chains, to draft a comprehensive plan for Eurasian transport corridors, to adopt recommendations to promote transport and logistics hubs within the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as to compile a list of priority joint infrastructure projects,” Iya Malkina said.

“We hope that these efforts will help solve the problem of cargo delivery in the current conditions,” the EEC representative noted.
