MINSK, 12 August (BelTA) – Belarusian trucks will be widely used in Egypt as part of regional development projects, BelTA learned from Ambassador of Belarus to Egypt Sergei Terentyev.
Prospects of expanding interregional cooperation between Belarus and Egypt were discussed as the ambassador met with Egyptian Minister of State for Local Development Mahmoud Shaarawy. The sides discussed broader use of trucks, municipal machines, road construction machines, agricultural machines made by Belarusian-Egyptian assembly lines in Egypt as part of various projects being implemented in Egypt.
Among other things the ambassador and the minister discussed the participation of the Belarusian side in the modernization of Egyptian regional enterprises, the development of manufacturing enterprises and aftersales service centers in regions of Egypt for the sake of creating more jobs for young Egyptians.
Belarus and Egypt also intend to consider the possibility of cooperation in personnel training and the expansion of interaction between regional universities. Apart from that, the importance of sharing the best practices and experience in the area of digitization of government agencies was noted during the talks.
