MINSK, 21 May (BelTA) – Representatives of the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety of the European Commission are auditing the application of veterinary preparations in productive animals, residual compounds in animal products, and also fish and dairy products, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.
The representatives of the European Commission are on a visit to companies of Minsk Oblast and Brest Oblast which supply their products to the European market to review the product quality and safety monitoring system. The mission also includes visits to Belarusian state veterinary laboratories and stations that run veterinary checks for safety of animal products. “These audits are necessary for the further approval of Belarusian agricultural exports to the European Union,” the press service said.
The Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry continues working on commodity and geographic diversification of Belarusian agricultural exports.
