GOMEL, 25 May (BelTA) - Belarus and Bulgaria need to maintain ties and contacts, Luchezar Nikolov the head of the Commercial and Economic Section at the Embassy of Bulgaria in Minsk, told the media on the sidelines of the 24th edition of the Spring in Gomel expo, BelTA has learned.
"In our difficult time, the most important task is to figure out how our economies can tackle the post-covid difficulties and the situation in general related to the changes in the world, transport corridors, sanctions and everything else. The task is to preserve what is possible and what is necessary for our countries," the adviser said.

He noted that Belarus and Bulgaria are small in comparison with other countries, with small markets. "We depend on large countries that are not always guided by purely economic interests. But there are always opportunities. Business is like water and flows where it can," Luchezar Nikolov said.
"We need to maintain contacts, information exchange in order to have our own technological advantages and preserve them for our markets," the head of the section is convinced. “Let's keep in touch, first of all, in terms of tourism, culture and, where possible, business, which is needed for humanity in general, I mean food, fertilizers and so on."

Luchezar Nikolov also wished Happy Slavic Writing and Culture Day which is celebrated on May 24.
The Spring in Gomel expo is running on 25-28 May. This year the event has brought together representatives of Belarus and 14 countries.
