GOMEL, 13 April (BelTA) – OAO Gomeltransneft Druzhba has fixed defects of the oil pipelines Unecha-Mozyr and Mozyr-Brest and has reconstructed process pipelines at the oil pumping stations Gomel, Turov, and Kobrin, representatives of the company told BelTA.
Routine maintenance at stations and the linear parts of the pipelines was performed by Gomeltransneft Druzhba specialists. Defects in the linear parts of the Unecha-Mozyr and Mozyr-Brest pipelines were fixed using metallic and composite sleeves when oil flow was cut off during a scheduled downtime on 7-10 April.
Bleeder lines of the surge relief system NS-2 were replaced at the oil pumping station Turov. A major overhaul of the pipes was completed in an access point for cleaning and diagnostic devices at the oil pumping station Kobrin. Preparations are in progress to replace a process pipeline of pump station No.2 from KRD-2 to stop-gate valve No.241.
Gomeltransneft Druzhba representatives specified the repairs had been scheduled in line with this year's operational schedule on improving the reliable operation of the company's main oil pipelines.
