
KALUGA, 10 February (BelTA) - Construction is the driver of cooperation between Belarus and Kaluga Oblast of Russia, Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Dmitry Krutoi said as he met with Governor of Kaluga Oblast Vladislav Shapsha on 10 February, BelTA has learned.
"The driver of our cooperation is the construction industry. A lot of projects have been implemented with the participation of Belarusian builders in Kaluga itself and in different cities of the region. This is an absolutely unique phenomenon throughout Russia," Ambassador Dmitry Krutoi noted.
As the demand for housing and housing services remains high in Kaluga Oblast the ambassador promised that cooperation in the construction sector will continue. "You have our full support," he stressed.
The ambassador also noted that in addition to housing, Kaluga Oblast is planning to build a rowing canal, a biathlon stadium. "I will only be glad if Belarusians could be of help. Belarus will appreciate a chance to participate not only in the construction of housing and social facilities, but also in more complex projects. We are always at your disposal. Once again, the construction sector is a key point of our cooperation," Ambassador Dmitry Krutoi noted.
During a working trip to Kaluga Oblast, the ambassador also discussed the topic of construction with Mayor of Obninsk. Belarusian specialists are completing the construction of the Prosto Kosmos residential complex inn this city. The diplomat inspected the new comfortable housing and the landscaping. In the city of Kaluga, the Belarusian ambassador also visited the construction of the Belarusian quarter Vesnushki.
