MINSK, 13 June (BelTA) – The CIS Quality Excellence Award will be presented in Minsk on 18 June, BelTA learned from the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
The award ceremony will take place at the CIS headquarters in the Belarusian capital. Taking part in the award ceremony will be Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee, CIS Executive Secretary Sergei Lebedev. Belarusian laureates of the award include Mogotex (Mogilev), Grodno Meat-Packing Plant, and Grodno State Medical University. The National Airport Minsk was awarded a diploma.
The winners of the award were approved at a session of the CIS Economic Council in March. Ten organizations were recognized laureates of the award, another four were named diploma holders. Winners include companies and organizations from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Russia. “The CIS Quality Excellence Award is the CIS most prestigious award celebrating outstanding quality achievements. It is aimed at encouraging production of high-quality and competitive products, excellent services, export growth and improving business reputation of CIS companies inside the CIS and in the global market,” the press service informed.
The contest is held in two stages. Applications are first processed and shortlisted by national standardization, metrology and certification authorities. After that the successful candidates are considered by expert commissions.
