
MINSK, 1 March (BelTA) - China plans to certify and re-register Belarusian enterprises in the China Import Food Enterprise Registration (CIFER) system, BelTA learned from the press service of the Agriculture and Food Ministry of Belarus.
Agriculture and Food Minister Igor Brylo met with representatives of the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China. The parties discussed the certification and re-registration of Belarusian enterprises in the CIFER system for export of food products to China.
The parties also looked into the work of laboratories on quality control of food and agricultural products, including import and export products, and control of physical and chemical parameters of products and microbiological indicators.
In 2022, the trade between Belarus and China amounted to $5.79 billion (up by 13% over 2021): exports totaled $1.61 billion, imports - $4.18 billion.
