As for the priorities for Kirov Oblast which specializes in dairy cattle breeding, the Gomel Oblast governor offered cow milkers and equipment to cool milk made by Gomelagrokomplekt company. The products of this enterprise are well-known in different parts of the Russian Federation, including Oryol Oblast, Belgorod Oblast, Omsk Oblast, Sakhalin and others.

According to him, experts are ready for various areas of cooperation: from selling finished products to assistance in upgrading plants and launching cold asphalt production. There are also proposals from the Forest Institute of the National Academy of Sciences to diagnose diseases, prevent and protect forest and agricultural plants.

Participants of the meeting focused on prospects for the development of cooperation in manufacturing, agriculture, mechanical engineering, and other fields. The parties discussed ways to strengthen mutually beneficial bilateral relations and to increase trade between Belarus and Kirov Oblast.

Our nations are closely united by the feeling of personal historical responsibility and the memory of the Great Patriotic War. The slabs in the Battle of the Dnieper memorial complex in Gomel Oblast depict 365 names of Heroes of the Soviet Union, ten of whom were from Kirov Oblast,” Gennady Solovei said.

Belarus and Russia's Kirov Oblast signed the agreement on cooperation in trade, economy, science, technology, and culture in June 2001.
