
MINSK, 14 January (BelTA) – As of 1 January 2022 the broad money supply in Belarus amounted to Br54.351 billion, up by 3.8% from 1 December, BelTA learned from the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB). Broad money supply includes cash in circulation and bank accounts of individuals and corporations.
Cash in circulation went up by 4.5% to Br4.72 billion in December.
Transferable deposits rose by 17.7% to Br7.692 billion.
The money supply in national terms amounted to Br23.254 billion, up by 7.5% in December.
The volume of national currency securities issued by banks (outside bank circulation) increased by 2.5% in December to Br1.679 billion.
As of 1 January the ruble money supply amounted to Br24.934 billion, up by 7.1% from 1 December.
The volume of foreign currency deposits rose by 1.11% to Br28.05 billion.
