MINSK, 2 June (BelTA) – The Belarusian government and the Ukrainian bank Globus have signed an agreement on terms of issuing loans for buying goods of Belarusian make in Ukraine, representatives of the Belarusian embassy in Ukraine told BelTA.
Globus Bank specializes in loans for buying equipment, vehicles, and special-purpose machines. With the agreement signed, the bank became a participant of the Belarusian program on advancing mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation between Belarusian and Ukrainian enterprises and companies.
As part of the agreement the Belarusian side will compensate the interest rate on the bank loans granted to individuals and corporations in Ukraine within the framework of Belarus president decree No.466 of 24 September 2009 on measures to sell Belarus-made goods.
The program's implementation will allow reducing the cost of loans for Ukrainian borrowers that intend to buy Belarusian goods.
