Belneftekhim eager to sign next year's oil delivery terms with Russia by year end

MINSK, 17 October (BelTA) – The Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim intends to sign the next year's oil delivery balance sheet with the Russian Federation by the end of 2019, BelTA learned from Belneftekhim Deputy Chairman Vladimir Sizov during the 2nd international science, technology and investment forum on chemical engineering and oil and gas processing Petro 2019 on 17 October.

The official said: “It is supposed to be signed and we would like to sign it by the end of the year.”

In his words, negotiations are still in progress. “The balance of oil deliveries in 2020 is a matter of bilateral relations. This is why we would like to come up with a joint decision as soon as possible. Negotiations are in progress for now,” the Belneftekhim deputy chairman said.

Asked whether the Belarusian side suggests stipulating that Belarusian oil refineries will be able to process more than 18 million tonnes of Russian oil next year, Vladimir Sizov said: “Everything will depend on the next year's delivery terms.”
