MINSK, 12 December (BelTA) - Belarusian oil refineries (Naftan and Mozyr oil refinery) can process 24 million tonnes of Russian oil in 2020 as provided in the indicative balance, Andrei Rybakov, the chairman of the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim, told the media in Minsk on 12 December, BelTA has learned.
“The document provides for 24 million tonnes of oil. This is the maximum possible amount that we can process,” Andrei Rybakov noted.
He added that the oil refining volume has been different in recent years. Belarus refined 16 million tonnes, 18 million and 21 million tonnes annually.
Andrei Rybakov explained that the actual volume of oil refining will be based on monthly and quarterly schedules.
As BelTA reported, Belarus and Russia agreed on the indicative balance for oil supplies to Belarus in the amount of 24 million tonnes in 2020. In accordance with the Belarus-Russia intergovernmental agreement, the balance may be amended through 15 November of the year of its implementation.
