Bellesbumprom's export to Russia's Karelia up 14% in Q1 2023

MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) – Enterprises affiliated with the Belarusian timber, woodworking, pulp and paper industry concern Bellesbumprom increased exports to Russia's Karelia by 14% in Q1 2023 against the same period last year, BelTA learned from Bellesbumprom's press service.

Pulp and tall oil have the largest share in the exports. Paper, cardboard and cardboard products, furniture and wood boards are also among the commodities actively exported.

According to the press service, the Republic of Karelia is among the top three places in terms of Belarus' exports to the Russian Federation.

The government delegation headed by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko is on a three-day working visit to Russia. The agenda of the visit is packed. The Belarusian head of government was in Petrozavodsk on 24 May. The next two days he will spend in Murmansk.
