MINSK, 25 January (BelTA) – BelGee intends to expand the line-up of electric vehicles, BelGee Director General Gennady Svidersky told the media on 25 January, BelTA has learned.
"We produce petrol cars. This is our main line of business. In terms of electric cars, we seek to ensure their maintenance in the country. So far, we have been importing Geometry C electric cars that have a maximum electric range of 500km. In 2022 we delivered 40 cars. In 2023 we plan to deliver them to order and service them under warranty. These electric vehicles show good parameters in operation," Gennady Svidersky said.
Among other things, Geely has presented a new budget model of the electric car Geely Geometry E. "In 2023, we will test these electric cars. If we like everything, we will expand the line-up this year," he said.
The BelGee planted was officially opened on 17 November 2017. The company is located between Borisov and Zhodino and occupies an area of 118 hectares. Belarus-assembled Geely vehicles are certified according to the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union and tested according to the EuroNCAP methodology (the tests involve such tests as frontal, side impact, etc.).
