BelCCI to teach Belarusian companies how to promote products abroad

MINSK, 13 April (BelTA) – The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) has started a series of seminars in regions of the country with a view to helping companies streamline their export of merchandise and services, BelCCI representatives told BelTA.

The first seminar on practical aspects of export operations took place in Orsha, Vitebsk Oblast. Opening the seminar, BelCCI Chairman Vladimir Ulakhovich noted that it was the second major event organized by the BelCCI in Orsha this year. He promised the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry would continue working together with private companies in Orsha District, which has a considerable potential for development.

The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry offers a number of ways for promoting Belarusian export such as the organization of business events together with representatives of foreign companies, the provision of legal and consulting support for foreign trade operations, the facilitation of participation in international expos, and business education. Vladimir Ulakhovich invited the business community of the region, including small, medium enterprises and self-employed businessmen, to actively use these and other instruments for the successful promotion of sales abroad.

BelCCI experts informed participants of the seminar about the measures the Belarusian government takes to support export, about legal aspects of foreign trade operations, other peculiarities of foreign trade operations, about consulting and financial mechanisms for supporting small and medium companies. The experts also mentioned that the BelCCI can check the reliability of foreign contractors, can help settle foreign trade disputes in court, and can present Belarusian companies during national expos. The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry also offers business education programs, including as part of the new project Export School. The project features a series of country-specific seminars, industry-specific conferences, and practical seminars for developing the professional competence of foreign trade divisions of Belarusian companies.

Chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee Alexander Poznyak, Director General of the Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Natalya Vorobyeva, representatives of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Eurasian Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and 45 Orsha District companies also took part in the seminar.
