BelCCI: Belarusian products can become a recognizable brand in Argentina

MINSK, 24 September (BelTA) - The Minsk office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) held an online business meeting "Belarus and Argentina: Promising areas of foreign trade cooperation" together with the The Chamber of Importers of the Argentine Republic on 22 September, BelTA learned from BelCCI Minsk office.

"Latin America is interesting for us as an important platform of integration into the world trade and economic relations. In the circumstances related to self-isolation requirements in Argentina, the Minsk and Buenos Aires chambers held a successful joint event in the format of a video conference which featured more than 30 Belarusian and Argentine participants," the BelCCI noted.

Belarus' Ambassador to Argentina Vladimir Astapenko, who took part in the business meeting, expressed hope that such events will help to find new avenues of cooperation and will contribute to the growth of mutual trade. Deputy Chairman of the Board of Belarus' National Bank Sergei Kalechits noted that Belarusian banks have accumulated a considerable experience in organizing international settlements and that there are tools to solve problems related to financial payments.

“Despite the fact that some Belarusian companies are taking only the first steps in the Argentinean market, the chambers of commerce of Belarus and Argentina reasonably believe that their products will become a recognizable brand in the Argentine Republic. The Minsk office will continue supporting and promoting export by holding such meetings on a regular basis, both in online and offline formats,” the Minsk office said.

On behalf of Belarus the event featured leading producers of farm machines, food and textile industry, optical-electronic precision engineering, holographic products. They presented their products to potential partners, discussed prospects and exchanged contacts for further discussion of possible cooperation.
