BelAZ's export up 39.2% in January-October

MINSK, 12 November (BelTA) – In January-October 2018 the Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ ramped up its export by 39.2% compared to the same period in 2017, BelTA learned from the company's website.

BelAZ holds a third of the global market of heavy-duty dump trucks. Since the start of the year, sales on the Russian market have expanded nearly by a third; deliveries to the CIS market in general have risen 1.8 times. The company shipped its products to over 20 countries worldwide in January-October. The major new markets were Bangladesh and the Philippines. In October, after a seven-year break, the company resumed supplies to Chile that received BelAZ underground dump truck with the lifting capacity of 25 tonnes. The majority of orders from overseas come for dump trucks with the lifting capacity of 110-130 tonnes, 220-240 tonnes and 45 tonnes.

According to preliminary estimates, over the ten months the company boosted output by 55.5% over the same period a year before.

“BelAZ does not only produce dump trucks, but also introduces new technology and builds up its intellectual potential, which allows developing unique comprehensive solutions enabling the use of the company's dump trucks in any part of the world,” the news release reads.

The public joint-stock company (OAO) BelAZ is the world's largest manufacturer of haul trucks with large lifting capacity and an extremely large lifting capacity. The company also makes other kinds of heavy transport vehicles for the mining industry and the civil engineering industry.
