BelAZ repair and service center to open in Russia's Murmansk Oblast

MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) – BelAZ repair and service center will open in Murmansk Oblast, Belarus' Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said as he met with Murmansk Oblast Governor Andrei Chibis, BelTA has learned.

“We are working on deliveries of haul trucks. An important accompanying project that is to be implemented in the near future is the construction of a BelAZ repair and service center in the town of Apatity. The center will provide comprehensive maintenance and repair of BelAZ equipment, which will improve the warranty and service support,” said Roman Golovchenko.

He emphasized that Belarusian Automobile Plant is not standing still in today's difficult conditions; all urgent issues related to import substitution have been resolved. “BelAZ stands ready to ship the most advanced haul trucks to Murmansk Oblast enterprises. The supply of mining equipment is another promising avenue of cooperation. Such products have not been delivered before, but there have been trial deliveries of loading and transport vehicles,” the prime minister noted.

Specialist training is an important part of interaction. “In accordance with the agreement reached between BelAZ and Murmansk Arctic State University, a BelAZ classroom has been set up at the university's branch in Apatity. The classroom is equipped with training stands and scale models. This classroom is to be inaugurated during the visit of the Belarusian delegation to Murmansk Oblast,” the Belarusian head of government said.
