MINSK, 20 August (BelTA) – Belaruskali has plans to launch production of chlorine-free potash fertilizers in 2019, Belarus 1 TV channel reports.
This is a joint project of Belaruskali and China's company Migao. The first production stage provides for manufacturing 80,000 tonnes of potassium nitrate and over 60,000 tonnes of granular nitrogen-potash fertilizers per year. The first trains have already been sent to Russia to bring raw materials.
Belkali-Migao Director Konstantin Potryvayev said that the plant is ready for receiving the raw materials. “The second element – potash fertilizers (small technical potassium chloride) of Production Unit 4 can be accepted now,” he informed.
These products are in demand on the domestic market and abroad. The company plans to export to the European Union, Russia and Turkey.
The public joint-stock company (OAO) Belaruskali is one of the world's largest manufacturers and exporters of potash fertilizers.
