Belarusians' remittances to other countries up by 31.9% in Q1

MINSK, 20 April (BelTA) – According to analytical data of the National Bank, in Q1 2021 remittances of Belarusians to foreign countries increased by 31.9% year-on-year, BelTA informs.

In this period, the total amount of transfers from Belarus through international money transfer services stood at $49.6 million in equivalent vs $37.6 million a year earlier.

In Q1 2021, $85.7 million was transferred to Belarus from abroad (an increase of 26.4%) vs $67.8 million in Q1 2020.

One transfer to Belarus averaged $298.86 ($243.76 in Q1 2020), from Belarus - $348.71 ($327.54 in Q1 2020).

Transfers through domestic systems amounted to Br30,281 (Br60,033 in Q1 2020). The average amount of one transfer is Br244.21 vs Br247.05 in the same period in 2020.
