MINSK, 2 March (BelTA) – Belarusian Railways will spend about Br500 million on investment projects in 2020, BelTA learned from the press center of Belarusian Railways.
“Our priority goals include optimization and improvement of business processes by introducing advanced digital technology, in particular, microprocessors in railway systems. The investment projects provide for replacement of outdated centralized relay systems and block control devices with microprocessors. This project is part of the infrastructure improvement and electrification efforts at the Osipovichi-Zhlobin-Gomel and Zhlobin-Kalinkovichi sectors of the railway,” the press service informed.
All in all, in recent years Belarusian Railways has installed microprocessor devices at 18 railway stations.
