Belarusian PM urges to boost export of transportation services

MINSK DISTRICT, 29 October (BelTA) – Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko visited OOO Primway company and urged to increase foreign currency earnings from the export of transport services, BelTA has learned.

"Today we need to discuss topical issues related to international road transport, which is a vibrant services sector. In January-August, foreign currency earnings amounted to more than $1 billion and keep growing. In terms of services export, road transport ranks second after the information services sector. This explains the attention of the state to this sector and its problems. We are interested in earning more on the export of transport services. The sector generates a stable surplus. Perhaps some things need to be adjusted based on the established practices," Roman Golovchenko said.

The prime minister visited the multifunctional complex of OOO Priway in Minsk District. In 2021, the company completed a large investment project there and launched a multifunctional complex featuring an administrative building with an area of 5,800 m2, a technical control point, a maintenance station, a washing unit, and a parking lot for trucks. Roman Golovchenko got familiar with the operations of the company, the technology of organization and execution of transportation services.

OOO Primway was registered in 1999. The main line of business is international road cargo transportation. The company increases the volume of cargo transportation every year. The fleet includes more than 100 articulated vehicles. The company provides transportation services to Europe and Asia.
