Belarusian petrochemical companies sign over €2m worth of contracts, agreements in Turkey

MINSK, 4 March (BelTA) – Belarusian petrochemical companies signed over €2 million worth of contracts during the international textile expo Yarn Fair, which took place in Istanbul, Turkey on 27-29 February, representatives of the BelInterExpo enterprise of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry told BelTA.

In particular, SvetlogorskKhimvolokno Company signed specifications for contracts on shipping products worth €500,000. Polotsk Steklovolokno Company signed protocols of intent worth a total of €850,000 with Turkish companies. The Khimvolokno Plant branch of OAO Grodno Azot contracted to ship about 1,500 tonnes of polyamide threads to the Turkish market in 2020.

Mogilevkhimvolokno Company presented a new product during the expo – a primary polyester fiber of the “conjugate” variety used as a filling agent. The company also showcased a broad range of polyester fibers, threads, and yarns.

SvetlogorskKhimvolokno Company presented heat-resistant threads under the Arselon brand. The innovative fiber does not burn, does not melt, repels water, boasts maximum durability, and high resistance to hydrolysis. The unique fiber can be used to make overalls and protective textile for hotels, make hoses, tires, and high-temperature filters.

The Khimvolokno Plant branch of OAO Grodno Azot presented a broad range of artificial fibers and threads as well as polyamide-6 and derivative polymeric composite materials.

Polotsk-Steklovolokno presented a broad range of products based on glass fiber such as electrical insulating glass fabrics, basalt fiber, high-temperature silica materials, glass yarns and roving used to insulate electric wires and make fabrics and tapes.

The Polymir plant of OAO Naftan demonstrated acrylic fibers used to make yarn, artificial fur, curtain fabrics, knitted fabric, carpets, upholstery materials, and non-woven materials.

The Belarusian exposition was organized by the BelInterExpo enterprise.
