Belarusian oil refineries at 50% capacity, to process 1.8m tonnes of oil in January-February

MINSK, 25 February (BelTA) – Belarusian oil refineries (Mozyr Oil Refinery and OAO Naftan) are operating at 50% of their capacity and will process about 1.8 million tonnes of oil in January-February, BelTA learned from Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim Vladimir Sizov.

The official said: “In January and February the refineries operated at 50% of their capacity. They are expected to process 900,000 tonnes per month. Roughly 1.8 million tonnes over the course of two months.”

The official stressed that the domestic market is fully supplied with the necessary oil products. “We expect no interrupted deliveries of oil products. The situation is stable and predictable,” he remarked.

Vladimir Sizov added that oil extracted in Belarus is processed at Belarusian oil refineries at present.
