Belarusian MTZ to up export to $746m in 2022

MINSK, 30 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian tractor manufacturer MTZ intends to increase export up to $746 million in 2022, Belarusian Industry Minister Piotr Parkhomchik told BelTA in an interview.

According to the source, the holding company MTZ exported $684 million worth of merchandise in 2021, with the growth rate at 118.3%. Taking into account the economic situation and the epidemic situation in 2022 the company intends to increase export up to $746 million. The growth rate is expected to hit 109%.

MTZ continues developing the choice of available brands. The company makes over 300 models and variants of machines and vehicles for all climatic and operational conditions, including all-purpose tractors with the engine capacity of 30-350hp, vehicles for utilities industry and forestry industry, ice-filling and snow-grooming machines.

The company offered a lot of new models last year, including tractors with bridge-type front axles, which are adapted for work in Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America, and tractors with modernized transmission and hydraulic systems.

MTZ is now working on the driverless tractor Belarus-A3523i, which boasts electromechanical stepless transmission and can carry out tasks set by a remote operator.
