Belarusian MTZ displays unmanned tractors, branded products at Belagro 2023

MINSK, 8 June (BelTA) – Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) has showcased its novelties at Belago 2023 expo, MTZ spokesperson Yulia Dylenok told BelTA on the sidelines of the international exhibition.

“For the past few years we have been selling tractors not just as power tools but as a technology for tilling and harvesting. Each of our tractors has some kind of attachment or trailed device - a plough, a mower or a bucket. Thus, our customer gets a final technology,” Yulia Dylenok said.

MTZ brought equipment of a new style to the expo. “We mainly exhibit our flagship models, in particular, the modernized BELARUS 82.3 and an unmanned tractor. I would like to note that we will continue to develop this technology. We are also presenting our holding company's equipment: plows made by Minsk Gear Plant, disc wheel produced by Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units. We also brought our modernized woodchopper,” the MTZ spokesperson said.

According to the specialist, caterpillar machinery is gaining popularity. MTZ presented its caterpillar tractor, the plough of which had been modernized by Minsk Gear Plant.

“Our BELARUS-3522 tractor is fitted with the Chinese Weichai engine. Now we are actively cooperating with this company to install their powerful engines on our vehicles. It is a technologically complicated process, which took a lot of time and testing. We have been working on it for a long time, and now we can finally present the finished product,” Yulia Dylenok stressed.

MTZ also presented its merchandise for the first time. “We have opened a store of MTZ branded products. We sell T-shirts, hoodies, caps, toys, and many more. For us it is one of the elements of brand promotion, which we consider as a separate business line,” the specialist added.

In her words, the main market for MTZ is the Russian Federation. “We have always had close ties, but now we supply even more machinery there, as well as develop cooperation with new regions and launch joint assembly of tractors. We also cooperate with other CIS countries. We have good sales to African countries, and to Pakistan. In general, we try to diversify the market as much as possible," the MTZ spokesperson concluded.
