
MINSK, 30 January (BelTA) - A package of documents on cooperation was signed at the Belarus-Zimbabwe business forum in the capital of Zimbabwe, Harare, within the framework of the state visit of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, BelTA learned from the press service of the Industry Ministry.
In order to develop cooperation in the field of agriculture, memorandums and cooperation agreements were signed between the official dealer AFTRADE DMCC and Lidselmash, Gomselmash, Bobruiskagromash and Minsk Motor Plant Holding Management Company to promote sales in Zimbabwe. The Belarusian tractor manufacturer MTZ and AFTRADE DMCC signed a memorandum on strategic partnership to promote BELARUS tractors in the Zimbabwean market.
A memorandum of intent was concluded between BelAZ, SOHRA Overseas FZE and the diamond mining company Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company Pvt Ltd in order to supply Belarusian machines and equipment for the mining industry of Zimbabwe.
The Confederation of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (Employers) of the Republic of Belarus and the Confederation of Industrialists of the Republic of Zimbabwe inked a memorandum of understanding.
Within the framework of the forum, B2B negotiations were held with business circles in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwean partners showed great interest in Belarusian-made equipment.



Currently, Africa is an actively developing region of great interest to the global business community. For the Belarusian manufacturing sector, the African market is one of the most promising. In January-November 2022, the export of products of the enterprises affiliated with the Belarusian Industry Ministry to the African continent increased more than 1.5 times.
"In relations with Zimbabwe, favorable conditions and prerequisites have been created for mutually beneficial cooperation in the long term. This is greatly facilitated by official and working visits, including at the highest level. Very popular are Belarusian farm machines which have proven their worth. African customers laud the high quality of Belarusian tractors and other farm machines. I am convinced that a wide range of Belarusian agricultural engineering goods will continue to enjoy demand in the Zimbabwean market and will contribute to the domestic agricultural sector," said Industry Minister Aleksandr Rogozhnik.
