Belarusian machine tools manufacturer busy penetrating new markets in Europe

VITEBSK, 6 July (BelTA) – The Orsha-based machine tools factory Krasny Borets has started penetrating new target markets in Europe this year, representatives of the company told BelTA.

The company is operating at a profit despite the pandemic. The source noted: “We constantly work to diversify export and find new target markets in countries of the European Union and the Middle East. Apart from the traditional markets of Belarus, Russia, and Kazakhstan this year Krasny Borets' products have been shipped to Germany, Lithuania, Ukraine, Czechia, Norway, Turkey, Italy, and Poland.”

In 2019 the company made 340 machine tools. In January-May 2020 Krasny Borets made 180 machine tools or 141.7% as against the same period of last year. In January-May 2020 the growth of export to non-CIS states amounted to 145%. The company exports 50-80% of the output.

In 2020 in anticipation of the 120th anniversary of the company's foundation Krasny Borets intends to make a prototype of an innovative universal numeric-control cylindrical grinding machine with extremely high precision parameters. The product is being designed together with the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The equipment is expected to achieve a new level in the creation of precision machine tools, which are unparalleled in the Eurasian Economic Union.

The machine tools factory Krasny Borets was founded in 1900. It is one of the country's leading manufacturers of metalworking equipment. The company offers virtually an entire lineup of grinding machines. At present Krasny Borets employs over 500 people. The products are shipped to 115 countries.
