VITEBSK, 22 September (BelTA) – Enterprises run by the Belarusian Industry Ministry have increased the output of nearly all of their products, BelTA learned from Belarusian Industry Minister Aleksandr Rogozhnik during festivities held in Vitebsk to mark Machine Builder's Day.

Belarusian industrial enterprises welcome Machine Builder's Day with good results. “We have significantly increased the output of virtually the entire range of the products we make: harvesters, TV sets, microwave ovens, all the freight vehicles, and buses. BKM Holding and many other enterprises are now operating at virtually more than 100% of their capacity. These days we hit and even exceed the increased performance targets assigned to the manufacturing sector,” the official noted.

Belarusian industrial enterprises have begun a new cycle of investment activities this year. According to the industry minister, it is a stage that has not happened in the history of the Industry Ministry before. “About Br1 billion will be spent on investments this year alone. At present 65 innovative projects are being implemented in absolutely different cities and towns of our country. And we are doing it deliberately to make sure the industry grows and produces decent results in the years to come,” Aleksandr Rogozhnik stressed.

Vitebsk's downtown will serve as an innovative venue for the Industry Ministry for several days. An exhibition of the latest products of the Belarusian mechanical engineering industry opened in Svobody Square in the morning on 22 September. Nearly 20 mechanical engineering enterprises are represented there. The exhibition will work till 19:00 on Saturday and till 16:00 on Sunday.
