
MINSK, 23 February (BelTA) - Enterprises affiliated with the Industry Ministry ramped up the output by 23.5% in 2022, Belarusian Industry Minister Aleksandr Rogozhnik said at the ministry's outcome collegium meeting, BelTA has learned.
"Throughout 2022, the industry demonstrated positive dynamics and posted growth in production and sales, minimum warehouse stocks and higher efficiency indicators such as profitability, net profit, wages, cost reduction," Aleksandr Rogozhnik noted. “We managed to avoid unnecessary shocks. The industry retained their teams and even increased the number of employees, which happened for the first time in recent years."
According to the minister, the industrial output in 2022 rose by 23.5% over 2021. Commodity exports by enterprises affiliated with the Industry Ministry increased by 15.3%. The commodity foreign trade registered a surplus. All in all, the Industry Ministry enterprises exported their products to 91 countries last year.
